Deniz Heppekcan

I was born and raised in Izmir. After completing my high school education at M.E.V Private Izmir Science High School and my higher education at Ege University Faculty of Medicine, I was appointed to my first duty station Kanlıca Main Child Health Polyclinic. After 3 months of duty here, I completed my specialization in Anesthesiology and Reanimation at Izmir Atatürk Training and Research Hospital between 2006-2011. I worked as an anesthesiology specialist at Manisa Turgutlu State Hospital between 2012-2015. I completed my intensive care subspecialization at Celal Bayar University Faculty of Medicine Hafsa Sultan Hospital between 2015-2018. I worked as an Intensive Care Specialist at Darıca Farabi Training and Research Hospital between 2018-2021. Since 2012, I have taken part in the Organ Transplant Coordinators Association as both a member and a member of the board of directors as a trainer and speaker in training programs on informing both healthcare professionals and the public in order to increase the awareness of organ donation and the number of organ transplants in our country. In 2019, I was successful in the exam I attended within the UEMS (European Union of Medical Specialists) and received an organ transplant coordinator board certificate. I have articles published in domestic and international scientific journals on anesthesiology, intensive care and deceased organ donation.
